Remix22 - European Youth Music Festival

LUXEMBOURG BECOMES EUROPE’S MUSIC STAGE

In May 2022, Luxembourg will be the musical “Mecca” of Europe.
Esch-sur-Alzette, European Capital of Culture 2022, will host the 14th European Youth Music Festival.

Thousands of young music-lovers from all over Europe will meet and perform in theatres, concert halls, churches and public places all over Luxembourg and especially in the area of Esch2022.

A total of 3,500 talented music, dance and theatre students from 23 European countries will perform over three days in more than 500 concerts in various indoor and outdoor venues.

Prior to the festival itself, the General Assembly and Congress of the European Music School Union (EMU) will be held at the Conservatory of the City of Esch-sur-Alzette, with 50 delegates attending from the 23 European member countries of the EMU.

The official opening ceremony, with all participants, will be held on Thursday 26 May at the Rockhal in Esch-Belval with a side-by-side project with the Luxembourg Chamber Orchestra.

On Friday and Saturday, concerts will be held throughout the country and in the territory of the Communauté de communes Pays Haut Val d’Alzette. Throughout the festival, events will take place in Dudelange and in the communes of the Regional School of Music, Bettembourg and Kayl.
